School District Of The City Of York
Reminder: Student immunizations must be up to date by Aug. 28
New Pennsylvania school immunization requirements start with the first day of the 2017-18 school year. All children need to be up-to-date with their vaccines or risk being excluded from school.
If your child is scheduled to receive vaccinations at a later date, please provide your child’s school with an appointment card or a written medical plan stating when the vaccinations are scheduled to be given. These documents must be signed by your doctor.
If you are exempt for a medical, religious belief and/or a moral or ethical reason, we need a letter from your doctor.
If you are unsure about whether your child is up to date on his/her immunizations, contact the nurse at your child’s school.
All students must provide up-to-date immunization documentation no later than Friday, Aug. 25, 2017. Failure to provide documentation per Pennsylvania law will result in your child not being permitted to attend school starting Monday, Aug. 28, 2017.
