Right to Know

Starting in 2009, a new law called Act 3 requires that publically-funded agencies, including school districts, enact specific policies and procedures regarding requests for information by the public.  In compliance with this law, the School District of the City of York shall make available all allowable documents when requested, following the district's "Right to Know Policy."

Information requests may be made by phone, mail, or via e-mail.

To file a records request:

Complete the following form and submit using one of the following methods: 
 
 
  1. Download and complete the Right to Know Request Form below. 
    Click the e-mail link to the Right to Know Officer (on the left) and send a request with the for attached.
  2. Mail the printed form to Right to Know Officer, Mindy Wantz, York City School District, 31 N. Pershing Ave., York, PA 17405
  3. Fax the form to 717-849-1394, or 
  4. Bring the form in person to the Administration Building located at 31 N. Pershing Avenue, York, PA 17405

    A hard copy of the records request form can be obtained in the Administration Building at 31 N. Pershing Avenue, York, PA 17405.
