Register for School K-12

  • Welcome to the School District of the City of York! As a district, we look forward to assisting you and your child(ren) through the registration process! 

    All children who will be five years of age on or before August 31, 2023, will be admitted to Kindergarten. Children who will be six years of age prior to August 31, 2023, will be admitted as first graders during the first two weeks.

    To assist parent(s)/guardian(s) who are relocating to the School District of the City of York, we encourage that you utilize the online registration process. You can register online 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. SDCY Registration- Register Students Here

    At the end of the application, you will be required to submit scans or photographs of the required documentation: 

    Registration Materials

    • Birth Certificate of Child
    • Parents Photo ID
    • Proof of Address (lease or utility bill)
    • Immunization Records
    *Upon verification, your registration will be accepted and you will be contacted about when your student(s) can begin attendance in the School District of the City of York. 
     
    To upload the required documents, you can take a picture of each document and upload it. Students should not report to a York City school until they receive confirmation from the Central Registration Department about their start date.
