Parent Learning Option Intent Form

The School District of the City of York is working very hard to plan a safe return for our students and staff in the fall. As we shared with our school board recently, school will likely look different this year. We understand that every family is in a unique situation, health, and comfort level that we need to be ready to support. As a result, families will have two learning options for returning to school in Fall 2020 under the Green Phase. 1) In-person learning 2) K-12 Bearcat Cyber Academy. Please submit one form for each of your children enrolled at the School District of the City of York. This form will close on August 6, 2020

El Distrito Escolar de la Ciudad de York está trabajando muy duro para planear un regreso seguro para nuestros estudiantes y empleados en el otoño. Como compartimos con nuestra junta escolar recientemente, la educación probablemente se verá diferente este año. Marjorie B. Wiltshire: Parent Involvement Questionnaire

Marjorie B. Wiltshire is a doctoral student at Nova Southeastern University, Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. She is currently working on her dissertation on the Evaluation of a Parent Involvement Program in our school district. She became an active member of the Parent Group, Parent Advocates for Children (PAC) while her Son was a student at William Penn Senior High School. She is still an active member and coordinates a Monthly Book Club for parents and the community. She has been a long term substitute teacher for the last 13 years and has taught at most of the schools here in our district. Her passion is teaching and she hopes that she can continue to make a difference in her students’ lives.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the efficacy of the Parent Involvement Program in the School District of the City of York. The program will be evaluated, the data will be analyzed, and recommendations will be given for improvement.
