“Aloha” is a Hawaiian word that means hello and goodbye. It also describes an attitude or a way of life — the Aloha Spirit:

Be in unity and harmony with your real self. Be honest, truthful, patient, kind to all life forms and humble.

Students started the week with the creation of an individual Tiki-making activity.

Tuesday was Bring a Beach Towel Day.

On Wednesday, students made lanterns to light the path to a positive school year.

Luau week decorationsThursday, they created palm trees using their handprints representing working collaboratively and cooperatively to achieve their goals.

The theme was carried through to our Open House, and on Friday the students participated in a PRIDE assembly to review the PRIDE behavior matrix and learn about our Davis Dollars rewards program.
