Edgar Fahs Smith STEAM Academy focuses on project-based learning and stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts and Math. While those content areas will be emphasized, it's really the approach to education that makes STEAM different from traditional classroom learning. At the EFS STEAM Academy, the structure of the school day will allow students to learn critical content in the subjects of math, science, ELA, and social studies, and apply that knowledge in meaningful and artistic ways through project-based learning. Students will be encouraged to use their imagination, collaborate with their peers to build structures, communicate their ideas, embrace failures, and persevere to solve real-world problems. We will continue our partnership with Penn State York, and continue to grow relationships with local community businesses, churches, and other organizations.
