Is your student interested in learning how to play an instrument or singing in the choir? Please see the sign-up details below:
Band and String instrument lessons and chorus lessons are open to all SDCY students in grades 4 through 8.
Participating in instrument lessons/chorus is both an in-school and after-school activity (in school lessons/chorus rehearsals, and then after school full ensemble rehearsals at William Penn Senior High School to help prepare for our concerts).
Permission slips have been sent home with students. Students who are interested should turn their signed permission slips in by Thursday, September 3rd, 2026.
There will also be a parent meeting held on Thursday, September 3rd, 2026 at 6:00 PM in the William Penn Senior High School Auditorium (101 West College Avenue, York, PA 17401) for families to come and learn about the options for renting or buying an instrument. Please enter the high school through door 13 located at the West College Avenue entrance. We look forward to seeing you there!
