The York Rotary Foundation, the charitable arm of the Rotary Club of York, announces $48,000 in college scholarships available for York City and York County students for 2026. Scholarships are available for graduating high school seniors, those currently in college, and adult learners enrolling later in life..

Scholarships available in 2026 include:
York City Student Success For Tomorrow Scholarship – four-year $2,500 scholarship (up to $10,000) - Graduating York City High School senior who exhibits academic achievement and financial need
Adult Learner Scholarship – one-time $2,300 scholarship – York County students enrolled later in life in technical or trade school, college or university
Bush Scholarship – four-year $1,200 scholarship (up to $4,800) – high academic achievement
Mangold Scholarship – four-year $1,250 scholarship (up to $5,000) – high academic achievement
Hayes Scholarship – four-year $1,000 scholarship (up to $4,000) – Equine studies major
Kranich Scholarship – one-year $2,200 scholarship – any area of study
Diehl Scholarship – one-year $1,200 scholarship – Engineering major with a preference for York City students

Bearcat Cyber Academy took center stage at our School Board Committee meeting last evening with a fantastic presentation, showcasing what makes their program special, sharing data, and highlighting student and staff support.
A special moment of the evening was the presentation of the Celebrating Families Award to Brenda Diehl, who exemplifies what it means to be a dedicated partner in education.

Bearcat Cyber had PJ day yesterday!!

In collaboration with the William Penn Student Services team, Family First Health invites all SDCY families and staff, to our Student Services Night on Thursday, January 15, 2026, from 5:00-7:00 PM in the William Penn Senior High School Cafeteria (Door #15).
This event will highlight available health services, including school-based health centers, the Mobile School Dentist program, and community health services at the George Street Center, with giveaways available while supplies last. We hope to see you there!

BCA staff had a fun start to their Friday!! Find the pumpkins hidden throughout common areas and win a prize! Find the most ghosts, goblins and witches and win a prize!! Boy was it competitive LOL CONGRATS to the winners!! Everyone had fun. Lots of laughs and exercise!!
