Ten 3rd and 4th grade students here at STEAM were selected to compete against 65 other area teams at the York County Envirothon held at John Rudy Park. Both the STEAM teams ("The STEAM Slippery Snakes" and "The STEAM Bumpy Toads") earned bronze awards for their hard work. The students have been working twice a week after school since January, as well as time at home on their own, to learn about birds, trees, frogs and toads, fish, ponds, and renewable resources. In addition to their awards for their knowledge on these topics, the STEAM Slippery Snake team also took the award for best teamwork! We are so proud of how much hard work these students put into our first Envirothon team!
