What is Mini-THON?
Mini-THON is a student-led fundraising event inspired by Penn State’s THON, the largest student-run philanthropy in the world. Both events raise money for the Four Diamonds Fund, which supports pediatric cancer patients and their families at Penn State Health Children's Hospital. The funds cover medical bills and support cancer research.
Mini-THON is typically hosted by high schools and middle schools, with students organizing and participating in activities like dance marathons, games, and other fun events, all to raise awareness and funds for childhood cancer research. It’s a way for young people to engage in philanthropy and leadership while supporting a meaningful cause.
