A special moment of the evening was the presentation of the Celebrating Families Award to Tyrice Fenwick, who exemplifies what it means to be a dedicated partner in education.

🌟 Celebrating National SEL Day! 🌟
This Monday, March 3rd, we recognize National Social Emotional Learning (SEL) Day, a time to highlight the importance of building strong relationships, fostering emotional intelligence, and creating a culture of empathy in our schools. This month’s district theme is "Finding Common Ground – Resolving Conflicts Peacefully."
Davis Kindergarten Bearcats in Mrs. Garr's class participated in restorative circles, which are a daily practice in their classroom. Students share about their weekends while passing the watermelon, practice mindfulness with belly breathing, and spread kindness by writing positive notes to classmates. These activities foster connection and community!
