Bearcat Families: Beginning July 29th, through August 16th, the School District of the City of York will be holding open student enrollment at the district administrative office located at 31 N. Pershing Avenue, during the hours of 8:30am through 3:30pm. According to the PA Department of Education, any student who will be 6 years of age or older by August 31, 2024, should be enrolled in public or private school. Students who will be 5 years of age by August 31st may be admitted to Kindergarten. Parents/Guardians should bring proof of residency, immunizations and legal verification of the student’s age. The application may also be completed online from the comfort of your home, in your preferred language, by visiting our district website. Families who need assistance with the immunization process may sign up for our vaccination camp. Information for this will be available at registration and is on the district’s website. Attention: Bearcat Cyber Academy will be opening their application for Marking Period 3 for students in grades K-12 on Monday, December 4. The application will close on Friday, December 15. Students who apply, complete orientation, and are approved will have a start date of January 10, 2024. Students who do not complete this process in a timely fashion may have a start date after 1/10/24 as a result. To clarify the process for students requesting outside of the application window: please contact Ms. Leah Hilliard directly at hessilea@ycs.k12.pa.us to make an exception for your student.
