Free Swimming Lessons are being offered at the YMCA of the Roses - York County for SDCY students ages 5 to 14 years old. Registration must be completed in-person. For more information, please see the flyer below.

Attention Bearcat Families: Free Summer Meals are available for all students ages 18 and under from June 9th to July 31st! No registration or ID is required. Please see the flyer below for more information. Let's keep our Bearcats healthy and strong all summer long! 🐾

Alphabet Countdown begins at Fabulous Ferguson PreK-8! As the school year winds down, the excitement is heating up at Ferguson PreK-8 with a Kindergarten Alphabet Countdown! Each day, our kindergarteners have been celebrating with a fun, themed activity tied to a different letter of the alphabet, starting with A: "A is for Adopt a Pet" Day! Our little Bearcats completed thoughtful applications to “adopt” a cuddly stuffed animal, explaining how they would provide a loving and safe home for their new furry friend. After being approved, each student proudly welcomed their pet and created a cozy home to take them in. #BearcatPride🐾

Jackson and Ferguson Bearcats made their mark at the Pennsylvania State Capitol! Students joined award-winning actress Sheryl Lee Ralph, PA State Senator Vincent Hughes, and PA Representative Carol Hill-Evans, to celebrate the launch of the United States of Readers program — an exciting initiative that gives students access to free books of their choice from Scholastic! We’re proud to see our Bearcats representing the School District of the City of York in such a meaningful literacy initiative. #BearcatPride🐾

Ferguson PreK-8 took center stage at our School Board Committee meeting on Monday evening with a fantastic presentation, showcasing what makes their program special, sharing data, and highlighting student and staff support. Thank you, Ferguson, for your commitment to excellence and community! #BearcatPride🐾

Mrs. Marli Austin's PreK class at Ferguson PreK-8 recently visited Mrs. Patterson's Kindergarten room to listen to "Cat in the Hat", "Green Eggs and Ham", and "Fox in Socks". The young Bearcats enjoyed making green eggs, green ham, and green waffles and then voting on whether they liked it by adding their green egg to the chart. #BearcatPride🐾

FLOW (For the Love of Women) is making a difference in the lives of girls and women by working to eliminate menstrual inequity. During a recent visit to Ferguson PreK-8, FLOW spoke with students in grades 5-8 about the importance of menstrual awareness and access to hygiene products.
