A group of William Penn Senior High School students, accompanied by Ms. Schmuck and Mr. Gross, recently attended Harrisburg University of Science and Technology's Inaugural Computer Science Day. There were 8 teams, comprised of students from 10 different schools. Throughout the day, these teams worked on a variety of computer science related projects, from creating a text-based adventure game to performing security tests on a web application.

Dalbeuris Franco and Lizevel Duran were on the winning team, and a team comprised of only William Penn students, Dimir Andino, Alicia Gonzalez Mercado, Isabella Hernandez, Leeandrew Berdecia, and Saniyah Brooks won second place. Congratulations to our Bearcats on their efforts and for representing WPSHS with #BearcatPride! 🐾

This year’s Plate Patrol 2.0, hosted by our York City School Police, and Fall Resource Fair were a huge success! 🎉 York City community and families came together to enjoy a free holiday meal, music, community resources, coats, and so much more.
