For their final STEAM challenge of the school year, William Penn STEAM Academy students explored all the areas of STEM with the help of Junior Achievement and volunteers. Students learned about Biology, Chemistry, Plumbing, Electrical, Water Filtration, and other various business aspects while rotating through multiple stations. #BearcatPride🐾

WPSHS MiniTHON was a powerful and inspiring event! Our Bearcats raised an impressive $4,524 in support of the Four Diamonds and the fight against childhood cancer. The energy was high throughout the day, with highlights including a talent show, a calming yoga session, and crowd-favorite Squid Games activities. The event also featured heartfelt moments as four families from our York City community courageously shared their personal stories about their child's battle with pediatric cancer. MiniTHON participants, staff, and supporters came together in unity—For The Kids. #BearcatPride🐾 #FTK #MiniTHON2025

We would like to congratulate WPSHS students, Santiago Leyva Galeano, Yuddy Filpo Nunez and Yazmily Sanyet Virola on recently making it to the Pennsylvania Technology Student Association (TSA) state competition! These students worked really hard and as a result they made it to states during their first year competing! Special shout-out to Mr. Gross and Ms. Gonda for leading these students! #BearcatPride🐾

WPSHS students recently participated in the Youth-Led Change Summit, using their voices to promote peace and build a safer community. Joined by York City Mayor Michael Helfrich and Police Commissioner Michael Muldrow, students engaged in powerful conversations and received encouraging words and valuable resources from both city leaders and WPSHS staff. #BearcatPride🐾

Our York City School Police recently held their first Staff vs. Students flag football game resulting in a final score of 38 to 38! 🏈 Thank you to the community for coming out to show your support! #BearcatPride🐾

We invite WPSHS students to attend the Future Focus Fair that will be held on Thursday, May 15, 2025. District staff member, Mrs. Oquendo will be at this event doing work permits. Please bring the following items: Birth certificate, Proof of address (Bills/Lease under parent name), and Parent ID. Please see the flyer below for more details.
