SDCY leaders recently gathered for a day of collaboration and growth focused on the key areas that drive student success and strengthen our schools. These meetings take place at a different school each time, and this session was hosted at Goode PreK-8.

Earlier today, Goode PreK-8 held an assembly to promote the York Revolution’s Boomer’s Book Club program. ⚾ This program encourages students to grow as readers while earning fun prizes along the way! 📚

Representative Carol Hill-Evans recently visited our Bearcats at McKinley PreK-8. In Mrs. Banks 4th grade class, students had the opportunity to ask Representative Hill-Evans some amazing questions, as they were excited to learn about life as a State Representative. Mrs. Yerger's 2nd grade class also received a visit from Representative Hill-Evans, making it a meaningful and empowering day for McKinley PreK-8!

We would like to congratulate William Penn Senior High School student, Jeremy Sanchez Torres, on being selected as the York Rotary Club’s Youth Leadership Student of the Month for the month of January! William Penn Senior High School took center stage at our School Board meeting last evening with a fantastic presentation, showcasing what makes their school special, sharing data, and highlighting student and staff support.

A special moment of the evening was the presentation of the Celebrating Families Award to Francine Moore, who exemplifies what it means to be a dedicated partner in education.
