In continuation of Week of the Young Child, Ferguson Bearcats in Mrs. Marli Austin’s Pre-K class participated in a Tasty Tuesday activity, where they enjoyed making strawberry banana smoothies and mini pizzas. Through this activity, students learned about the importance of nutrition and how food helps fuel their minds to learn.

Come enjoy an evening of choral music performed by the William Penn Senior High School Concert Choir and Singers. The concert is free, and it begins at 7:00 PM, on Tuesday, April 28th, in the WPSHS Auditorium (Enter through door 13). Each song celebrates our collective strength, hope, and joy — "We are One."

Earlier this morning, members of District Leadership stopped by WPSHS to hand out breakfast items to our amazing teachers and staff. This year’s Battle of the Buildings was a huge success! District staff came together to participate in several Minute to Win It style games designed to build camaraderie, boost morale, and prepare our students and staff for the upcoming testing season.

In celebration of Week of the Young Child, our Goode and Hannah Penn Pre-K classes recently went on a fun-filled trip to Hershey! Our Bearcats learned about the history of Hershey’s chocolate and even enjoyed a Hershey bar at the end of the ride! The fun continued at Hershey Gardens, where our young scholars learned about the life cycle of butterflies and walked through the butterfly atrium.

I Believe in You recently hosted its Real Men Read event, visiting classrooms across our district as male leaders from our community took time to read with students. Congratulations to six of our York City middle school musicians on their performance in this weekend's York County Middle School Honors Band Festival! These students joined over 120 other middle school musicians from throughout York County to perform in a concert held at Eastern York High School on Saturday, March 28th. They did a wonderful job in their musical performances as well as serving as ambassadors for the School District of the City of York!
