WPSHS MiniTHON was a powerful and inspiring event! Our Bearcats raised an impressive $4,524 in support of the Four Diamonds and the fight against childhood cancer. The energy was high throughout the day, with highlights including a talent show, a calming yoga session, and crowd-favorite Squid Games activities. The event also featured heartfelt moments as four families from our York City community courageously shared their personal stories about their child's battle with pediatric cancer. MiniTHON participants, staff, and supporters came together in unity—For The Kids.

Jackson and Ferguson Bearcats made their mark at the Pennsylvania State Capitol!
Students joined award-winning actress Sheryl Lee Ralph, PA State Senator Vincent Hughes, and PA Representative Carol Hill-Evans, to celebrate the launch of the United States of Readers program — an exciting initiative that gives students access to free books of their choice from Scholastic!
We’re proud to see our Bearcats representing the School District of the City of York in such a meaningful literacy initiative.

Today, we celebrate the incredible compassion, care, and commitment of our school nurses. From managing daily health needs to providing critical support in emergencies, our nurses go above and beyond to keep our students safe, healthy, and ready to learn.
Your impact reaches far beyond the nurse's office!

Combining the race with their SEL curriculum, students in grades 3-5 had the opportunity to learn more about what makes them amazing and how they can do anything they put their minds to—including running a 5K!
