A group of WPSHS students from Ms. Gonda's class recently traveled to Mountain View Middle School to compete in the regional Technology Student Association (TSA) competition. This association enhances personal development, leadership, and career opportunities in STEM in which students can integrate these concepts through intracurricular activities, competitions, and related programs.
We would like to congratulate Yazmily Sanyet Virola, Yuddy Filpo Nunez, and Santiago Leyva Galeano on qualifying for the State competition which will take place in April. We wish you the best of luck Bearcats! 🐾

Family First Health opened the evening with a brief presentation to our Faith-Based leaders, followed by a collaborative discussion to identify community needs and establish a goal for the 2024-2025 school year. The GIANT Company is partnering with our district to fight childhood hunger!
Now through March 31st, shop at GIANT Food Store (#6294, 1255 Carlisle Rd, York, PA) and "Round Up at the Register" to support our school district's food services program.
Bearcats, help spread the word and support efforts to address food insecurity in our schools!

Jackson PreK-8's 5th grade students took a hands-on approach to learning at JA BizTown! This immersive program gave them the chance to apply their classroom knowledge in a real-world setting—running eight different businesses, managing City Hall, handling payroll, repaying loans, and even creating products and services.
Their hard work, teamwork, and leadership truly showcased #BearcatPride🐾

The SDCY’s Bearcat Opportunity Program (BOP) has partnered with the JT Dorsey Foundation (tag them on Facebook) to bring Soccer for Success to our scholars after school at each of our PK-8 schools!
Soccer for Success builds community belonging and supports healthy living by getting our students active around the game of soccer! The program is designed to build self-esteem, leadership, and teamwork!






Due to road conditions, Wednesday, January 22, 2025, has been designated as a Virtual Learning Day for all students, teachers, and 10-month employees.
