Bearcat Cyber Academy took center stage at our School Board meeting last evening with a fantastic presentation, showcasing what makes their school special, sharing data, and highlighting student and staff support.
A special moment of the evening was the presentation of the Celebrating Families Award to Joan Rosario Rosado, who exemplifies what it means to be a dedicated partner in education.

A group of WPSHS seniors recently attended the York City Dollars for Scholars event that was held at the high school. These students were given the opportunity to begin their scholarship applications to their preferred college or university. They also participated in a small Q & A discussion with former WPSHS students who are currently enrolled in a college or university.

The GIANT Company is partnering with our district to fight childhood hunger!
Now through March 31st, shop at GIANT Food Store (#6294, 1255 Carlisle Rd, York, PA) and "Round Up at the Register" to support our school district's food services program.
Bearcats, help spread the word and support efforts to address food insecurity in our schools!

We are thrilled to highlight the Bearcat Casual Club that has recently opened at WPSHS. Bearcat Casual is a small school thrift store that is led by a group of our high school students every week. Students are able to purchase new and/or gently used clothes by using their LiveSchool points in which they earn by demonstrating their commitment to being great learners.

Yesterday, several staff members engaged in powerful discussions on equity and inclusion during a professional development session led by the Racial Justice Committee of YWCA York and inspired by Pushout: The Criminalization of Black Girls in Schools. Together, they reflected, learned, and planned for change.


WPSHS recently celebrated Instant Decision Day at the high school, where some of our seniors received admissions from several colleges and universities on the spot, in addition to receiving scholarships. Congratulations Bearcats! 🧡💙
